Questions

Anything else, ask in Discord or open an issue on GitHub. The whole thing is open source.

Is Doop really free?

Yes. The Free plan on Doop Cloud and the Community edition you host yourself are fully featured, with no limits on canvases, frames or agents. You pay only for an Organization on Doop Cloud, or for an Enterprise license when you self-host.

Why don't agents take a seat?

Everyone connects their own Claude Code, Codex or Cursor on their own subscription. Doop never runs or bills the model, so there's no seat to charge for. You pay for editors, not for the agents they bring.

Do I pay for AI models through Doop?

No. Your agent runs on your own plan with its provider. Doop doesn't resell tokens or add credits on top.

Can I move my canvases into an Organization later?

Yes. Create an Organization and move any canvas into it. Links, comments and version history come along.

What does AGPL-3.0 mean for my company?

You can run and modify Doop freely. If you offer a modified version to others over a network, you share those changes under the same license. The Enterprise license removes that obligation.

What do I need to self-host Doop?

One Docker container and a Postgres database. The self-hosting guide on GitHub walks through the setup.

What happens to my designs if Doop shuts down?

Every frame is plain HTML you can export at any time, and the code is open source, so you can keep running it yourself.
